Infant and Child Massage

“Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see.”
— John W. Whitehead, Human Rights Attorney and Author

Babies and kids love massage too! Studies* have shown that massaging infants and children:

For infants, I teach parents how to massage their own baby because babies are usually most comfortable being touched by their own family members. This is a great way to bond with your child! I offer private instruction or a small class.

Please contact me to find out about upcoming classes.

Older children also benefit from pediatric massage. Children usually receive a pro-rated, shorter session than adults (30–45 minutes). I ask that a parent or guardian remains in the room with a child 12-years and younger to increase her or his comfort level. Massage is a great way for children to relax and be nurtured. I especially recommend massage for children with anxiety, children who get sick often, and children recovering from an injury such as a fall or a car accident.

“I like the tummy rub and the airplane on my leg. And my back rubbed too.”
— Lila, age 6
“I has quiet time with Kristy. She loves me with her hands.”
— Joseph, age 3
